It’s Valentine’s Day soon and Primroses are in bloom at Contessa’s.

Our Primrose Country Diary 2011 is handy for keeping important dates and reminders. It is priced at $20. Primrose Bath Soap is 7.5 oz and has a delicious scent. $12 each. Botanical notecards, four assorted Primrose flower designs at $18 for a box of twenty.

Create an “occasion” for you and your loved one. Champagne flutes are six for $48. Glass hearts add a Valentine flavor to any room and are for sale at 50 cents each. Place these decorations of love around your home or place one on a colleague’s desk unannounced. You’ll make their day.

If you are serving appetizers for Valentines Day, our stainless steel spreaders are available as singles at $7.50 each or as boxed sets of four for $30. Guess what, they are dishwasher safe.

Pottery cachepots from Portugal are available now and perfect for those “first of spring” flowers. We have them available in red, orange, brown, lime and sage, at $14 each.

Silver plate vases are perfect for one-stemmed roses. Contessa’s has an assortment of glass and silver plate vases. Prices range from $20 to $25. Surprise her/him on Valentine’s Day!

Cyclamen in pink, purple and rose are now at Contessa’s – amazingly enough, all you need to do is plant them, keep them in a cool place and give them an abundance of sun. They will cheer you and your room. $14 each.

Happy New Year! We thank all our visitors who came by during the month of December. You are important to us and we value all your visits to say Hi. We appreciate all your many purchases. It was a fun and successful season at Contessa’s.

Beginning tomorrow, Sunday, December 2nd we will have an after Christmas SALE. We will be open from Noon to 5 p.m.

All Christmas items will be 50% off. Our pillows will be 20% off and “select” Emily Sloan Totes will be 20% off. Lastly we have winter scarves at 30% off. Our sale will end on Sunday, January 9th. There are some nice items to purchase and you might tuck a few away for next years gift giving season. If you are in the DelRay neighborhood, do stop by and say hello.

As the month of February fast approaches, we will be going to the New York International Gift Show on a buying trip. We would love your feed back on items that you would like to see at Contessa’s in 2011. Please feel free to share some of your favorite “picks” with us. Your personal suggestions will be very helpful.
