Psalm 10:2
He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire, he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
My Almighty God you are my Foundation and the Focus of my life. Your foundation will not be shaken. Without you as my Savior, I have nothing to build my life upon. Without You, life is completely “meaningless.” I try to work and create on our own, but sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Only You Father give me a firm place to stand – on your foundation.
For if my life is to be steady, I must make You my focus and continue to walk steadily along your life path. I know that distractions will come, but I also know that you are my Guide and I must keep looking ahead to You always. I know that you will encourage and draw me forward – step by step….. all my way to heaven.
Psalm 10:2
I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Prayer
On Christ the solid rock I stand.
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

in≈ Comments Off on Gunston Road – today’s FINAL Video
At Noon today we completed our one week assignment on Gunston Road. Our collection of video files are slightly larger than we can manage to post them all in one shot. We are complete at this property until October when we return to do additional work to prep for fall. Our resident is very pleased. We are as well. It was fun and in the end successful. We will attempt a future edit to provide the beginning to end video collection at this lovely property. Stay Tuned!

I am no longer my own but thine.
Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering,
Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee. Exhausted for thee or brought low for thee.
Let me be full, let me be empty
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O Glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth,
Let it be ratified in heaven.
Amen

We ended up clearing the side bed pretty much of everything except a Rose bush, a Peony and a nicety trimmed Azalea. We are now ready to lay the blk/wht newspaper and the top soil (10 bags) to kill any left over weeds. And the goal is to level out this bed since it slopes slightly and what will remain is a nice clean bed for fall bulbs planting. We will visit Merrifield to scope out a few new plants and the bulbs. Will post again tomorrow. Our homeowner is pretty happy. It’s still a work in progress. Three hours this morning……
Completed the newspaper/topsoil treatment Transitioning Hostas, Day Lilies and Loriape. We need more soil as the slope is still too dominant. Tomorrow back for additional tasks per the homeowner. Today was very productive. 9 to 1, 4 hours. It’s all good.

in≈ Comments Off on Sheet Pan Simple Eggplant Parmesan, (baked) no frying
Our second time to make this easy, quick and delicious Eggplant Parmesan. And the best part…. No frying.
Ingredients
1 medium eggplant, cut into 1/4-inch slices
2 eggs
1 tablespoon water
1 cup panko breadcrumbs (Gluten Free)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 (25 ounce) jar marinara sauce
8 ounces (low moisture part-skim) mozzarella cheese, shredded
julienned fresh basil, (optional)
Preparations
Spread the sliced eggplant in a single layer onto paper towels. Generously salt the eggplant and let it sit for 15 minutes. Flip the eggplant, salt the other side, and let sit for another 15 minutes. Rince the eggplant with water and pat dry with clean paper towels. (This process will draw out the excess moisture and bitterness from the eggplant.)
Preheat your oven to 395 degrees. Combine the panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, dried basil, dried oregano, and garlic powder in a shallow dish. In a separate dish, lightly beat the eggs with the water.
Dip the eggplant slices in the egg and then the breadcrumb mixture, pressing the breadcrumbs onto the eggplant to evenly coat both sides.
Drizzle a foil-lined sheet pan with the olive oil and spread it around to cover the whole pan. Place the breaded eggplant in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, flip the slices, then bake for an additional 15 minutes on the other side. Generously spoon sauce onto each slice and top with shredded cheese. Return to the oven and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling. If you love basil, top each serving with fresh basil right before serving.
As shown, accompanied by a fresh spinach/scallion/olive oil and red wine vinegar salad.
One of our favs…….Enjoy!

Verse 1
This is my Father’s world, and to my list’ning ears,
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world: I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
His hand the wonders wrought.
Verse 2
This is my Father’s world, the birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white,
Declare their Maker’s praise.
This is my Father’s world: He shines in all that’s fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass;
He speaks to me everywhere.
AMEN

in≈ Comments Off on rain……rain……rain
“These rain boots are at the ready.”
We do plan to garden today….. but not until about the Noon hour. It’s supposed to rain until then. For our purposes, in the current garden where we are working, rain is our friend. We have weeds, weeds, and more weeds. It’s all good. Certainly makes our task so much easier. We love the dampness.
Our client is planning to come home from the beach today. We suspect she may postpone her travel until tomorrow. But we will be ready for her arrival. It’s been a gift and a blessing to work in her beautiful, well planned garden beds. We have hopefully added our little bit of “magic” to bring her garden space back to her version of perfection.
If it’s raining in your area, you can still get out and dig. Close to nature…is close to God….for ones nearer Gods heart in a garden, than any place else on earth. Amen
