Thanksgiving Day

November 24 – Thursday

“O Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving…”

▶︎ LISTEN TO THE DEVOTIONAL
Did you know that the words “think” and “thank” come from the same root? I’ve discovered this really is true. As I “think” about family, friends, and the many gifts and blessings I have received from God, my heart fills with “thanks.” I am most thankful to God for the gift of His Son, Jesus – the Rock of our salvation, who gives us life and gives it abundantly and eternally. So during this season of thanksgiving, take some time to think. You might just be surprised at what the Lord brings to your mind. I guarantee you one thing – He will bring someone or something for which you can thank Him.

My Prayer

Thank you for bringing me my true love. He is my rock and my best friend. Without him I am half what I’m meant to be. I cannot tell you…. how loving a man….with his strong faith means to me. I feel so very lucky and very blessed.  I can trust that his intentions and encouragement are true. And I know you have sent him especially for me.  I’ve waited a long time for this man. Thank you that he is good, kind, faithful, honest, loving and a man that you created in your image. Oh my great God,  I am so full of gratitude for my “Jack.”

Please bless his heart today and give him comfort and true relaxation. I know your Holy Spirit is alive in him.  Thank you Jesus, in your holy name… I offer this sincere and joyous prayer.

• AMEN •
