Anger and Greed are the two main enemies of our spiritual life. These temptations of behavior are rooted in our secular world. We can have anger if we feel like we have been deprived of things. We feel greed when our desires get frustrated. How difficult it can be to shrug off the yearnings of our world. All Christian’s and even the church have difficulty escaping the temptations of our world. We are all vulnerable to these social failings because we live in an unredeemed world…..

Romans 12:1-2

Transformation in Christ

Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God – what is good and acceptable and perfect.

My Lord and my God, renew my soul. Bring me to be “still.”Open my eyes and my soul to be open and see the beyond the lure of this world. Help me to find my “true self” in in the protection and shelter of your wings. Amen

…our candle of “peace” is illuminated now.
