TRUE IDENTITY

We know that we are God’s beloved child. If we can know this in our heart, and not in our head, then as daughters and sons, every single thing in our life turns around. This is our spiritual truth. Our spiritual truth is a mystery to be sure. It penetrates our soul and gives us the assurance that we were loved before we were born, and we will be loved after we die. Our “heart” is dwelling inside Him, and it will be forever….. from eternity to eternity. 

Isaiah 49:1-2

Listen to me, O coastlands, 

pay attention, you peoples from far away!

The Lord called me before I was born, 

while I was in my mother’s womb he named me.

He made my mouth like a sharp sword, 

in the shadow of His hand he hid me.

Jeremiah 1:4-5

Now the word of the Lord came to me saying:

“Before I knew you in the womb I knew you, 

and before you were born I Consecrated you;

I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

PRAYER

My Gracious and all knowing Lord, hold me by your hand and watch over me this Advent week. I know you have known me all of my life, and I am confidant I am forever in your care. Create for me a bright and shining light and a path to my home in heaven, where I will share the banquet that you have so graciously prepared.
